We ARE A PARISH church THAT EXISTS in and for the city of Englewood.

Englewood_Stacked.png

A parish church takes spiritual and social responsibility over a specific geography. Our parish is the city of Englewood.

Our hope is to see people follow the way of Jesus in every area of life whether you live, worship, or work in Englewood.

Together we cultivate shared rhythms of worship, community, and service in and for our city and neighborhoods.

Please visit our website to discover more about our church.

LEADERSHIP

Nathan Hoag - parish Pastor

Nathan has called Colorado home for most of his life and values the outdoors as he climbs, skis, and mountain bikes whenever time allows. Nathan is a graduate of Denver Seminary and ordained in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Nathan has worked part-time for Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey since 2013.  He was on staff at Cherry Hills Community Church from 2011 - 2015 and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Denver Rescue Mission.

Nathan and his wife Julie are foster, biological, and adoptive parents. They believe in making a deep and lasting impact in their neighborhood and seeing lives change at the ground level. Nathan is a big fan of the craft-everything movement in Denver and cares way too much about how his coffee is roasted.

Canaan HurSt - Worship Director

Canaan has lived in the Denver metro area since 2014 and truly enjoys all of what Colorado has to offer through taking photos and shooting video. He is a graduate of the University of Wyoming and owns a video production company based in Englewood, Colorado. Having worked a fair share of coffee shop jobs around Denver, Canaan loves any excuse to visit many of Denver's coffee establishments to work, befriend, and socialize.

Canaan has led musical worship at churches, summer camps, and retreats throughout his life, and understands that music is only a piece in the worship we offer to God when the body gathers together. He is passionate about God's call to seek, serve, and love the city of Englewood Colorado with the love of God and wholeheartedly desires to see the neighborhood grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus.

Lindy Curry – Preschool Director

Lindy Soon Curry was born at the very end of the Korean War, found by an American serviceman, and taken to Hope Children's Home in Jinhae, South Korea. She was adopted by a loving, Christian family and came to live in Mt. Hood, Oregon in 1957 when she was estimated to be about four years old. In 1991 Lindy married David Curry when they were both learning to play the Irish harp. They moved to Englewood, CO in 1992 and live a few blocks from TSGE. They adopted a baby girl from Korea and since she has grown up and moved out, Lindy has sensed God calling her to full-time ministry. She is attending Denver Seminary and pursuing Master of Arts in Youth and Family Ministries to better equip her to attend to the spiritual needs of children and adults in her neighborhood.

Mike Adam — Grade School Director

Mike has lived in Denver for the last year after living in North Africa for nearly 10 years. During those years, Mike learned about the power of hospitality, relationships, and living holistically transformed lives. Since returning to the US, Mike has worked as a Pastoral Resident for Families, Youth, and Children at the Sacred Grace Englewood and TNL. He runs the children’s ministry, day camps, and facilitates parent round tables.

Mike loves spending time with his wife Natalie, and their 2 boys in the mountains, in the pool, and on the road. He loves other cultures, getting to know people deeply, and seeing lasting transformation. Mike also teaches Social Studies and Science in Mapleton Public Schools.

CALENDAR

Worship Gatherings

We gather every Sunday at 5PM to reorient our lives around following Jesus and the flourishing of Englewood. We host a simple, hospitable service with music, prayers, teaching, and intentional space for growing in relationships with each other. Childcare is provided Nursery – Elementary.

connecting around the table

The table has held a significant role in our church from the very beginning. We believe the table moves us UP, IN, and OUT together.
The three primary expressions of the table for our parish are: Table Groups, Community Dinner, and Welcome to Englewood Dinner

Englewood Prayer

Every Sunday at 4:15PM we pray for God's presence and peace at our Sunday gathering.

Every Wednesday at 7AM we pray with other leaders for our neighborhood and our city.

NEIGHBORHOOD RENEWAL

Our partnerships with a local elementary school, locally owned businesses, and community leaders work towards the ongoing social renewal of our neighborhood.

Please visit our website for more information on upcoming events and ways you could connect with us.

SUPPORTING THE SACRED GRACE

To join God in his renewing work of our lives and our neighborhoods we depend on the consistent and generous contributions of individuals and organizations. The Sacred Grace is a 501(c)3 organization.

why we give

This prayer of generosity we say each week reflects why we choose to give.

All that we have we have received from God. We bring nothing into this world and we take nothing out of it. We choose to follow the way of Jesus and increase in generosity until it can be said, ”there is no one in need among us.” We choose to be faithful stewards of all our resources: relationships, time, possessions, and money. We choose to be generous because our Father is generous, and as his daughters and sons we want to show the world what He is like.
